Group Chief Human Resources Officer (Group CHRO)

Position Overview The Group CHRO will lead all human resources functions across the organization and will be a strategic business partner to the Board and C-suite. This role encompasses organizational development, talent management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, recruitment, training & development, and compliance. The Group CHRO will champion a high-performance culture aligned with our values and drive organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic HR Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness
- Develop and execute multi-year HR strategy aligned with business objectives and organizational transformation roadmap.
- Build organizational capability through design of optimal structures, roles, and reporting lines; manage organizational change initiatives.
- Establish HR governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures across all business units.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Drive employer branding and recruitment strategy to attract top-tier talent for leadership and critical roles.
- Oversee succession planning for critical positions and develop high-potential talent pipelines.
- Implement retention strategies and drive employee engagement programs to reduce attrition.
- Compensation, Advantages & Payroll
- Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits packages; conduct market benchmarking and salary reviews.
- Manage payroll operations, statutory compliance, and benefits administration across all locations.
- Performance Management & Learning Development




- Establish performance management systems and drive accountability culture; oversee performance reviews and ratings.
- Build organizational learning capability through training, capability development, and leadership coaching programs.
- Employee Relations & Culture
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture reflecting company values; manage employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and team-building programs.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulatory requirements (EPF, ESI, PF, gratuity, etc.) across operating states.
- Manage workplace safety, health, and wellness programs; conduct risk assessments and mitigation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/PGDM preferred.
- 18+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with minimum 5 years in a Group CHRO or Head of HR role.
- Proven experience in large, complex, multi-location organizations (preferably 2,000+ employees).
- Strong expertise in organizational strategy, change management, talent management, and employee relations.
- Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws, compliance, and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, analytics, and people data management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking capabilities.

Preferred Experience

- FMCG, consumer goods, or manufacturing sector experience.
- Exposure to family business or mid-market organizations.
- Digital HR transformation and technology implementation experience.
- Board-level or C-suite interaction and governance experience.
- CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent professional certification.

Reporting Structure & Location

Reports to: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

Primary Location: Gaya/ Patna, Bihar (with travel to other locations as required)
