Role Description The Category Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Thane, responsible for managing and growing assigned product categories across e-commerce platforms. This role involves analyzing category performance, identifying growth opportunities, and developing strategies for pricing, assortment, promotions, and inventory management.

The Category

Manager will collaborate closely with sales, procurement, operations, and marketing teams to optimize listings, improve margins, and enhance customer experience. Day-to-day activities include reviewing data and dashboards, negotiating with vendors, planning and executing campaigns, monitoring competitor activity,



and ensuring category targets are met. The role also requires maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications

- Strong category management skills, including assortment planning, pricing strategy, and promotion management.
- Solid analytical skills for interpreting sales data, market trends, and performance reports to drive data-based decisions.
- Experience in contract negotiation and procurement to manage suppliers, secure favorable terms, and ensure reliable sourcing.
- Background in sales or commercial roles, with the ability to set targets, track performance, and support revenue growth.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic analytics tools; familiarity with marketplace dashboards is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Thane and collaborate in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, management, or a related field; an MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
