WE ARE HIRING – CASTING DIMENSION INSPECTOR | FOUNDRY

Ultimate Alloys Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Casting Dimension Inspector to join our Foundry Quality team.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform dimensional inspection of raw, proof-machined and finished steel castings as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Inspect complex pump casings, valve bodies and heavy engineering castings.
- Verify critical dimensions, machining allowances, wall thickness, centre lines, flange locations, bore dimensions and overall casting geometry.
- Perform layout inspection using surface table, height gauge and conventional measuring instruments.
- Inspect casting dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Depth Gauge and other precision instruments.
- Carry out template, fixture and gauge-based inspection wherever applicable.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and GD&T; requirements.
- Identify mismatch, core shift, distortion, warpage and dimensional deviations before releasing castings for machining.
- Mark datum/reference points and machining references as required.
- Prepare and maintain dimensional inspection reports and traceability records.
- Coordinate with Foundry Production, Pattern Shop, Fettling,



Machine Shop and Quality teams for dimensional corrections.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for dimensional non-conformities.
- Support customer/TPI dimensional inspection and witness activities when required.
- Ensure measuring instruments are within valid calibration status before use.

- Candidate Profile? Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent ⏳ Experience: 3–8 years in dimensional inspection, preferably in a steel casting foundry.

Preferred Skills⭐ Strong knowledge of casting dimensional inspection and layout inspection

⭐ Positive understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T;

⭐ Experience in large and complex pump/valve castings preferred

⭐ Knowledge of casting tolerances, machining allowances, core shift and distortion control

⭐ Good documentation and problem-solving skills

We are looking for a hands-on dimensional inspector who can independently inspect complex steel castings and ensure dimensional conformity before machining and final dispatch.
