Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Manager based in the Kolkata metropolitan area.

The Business Development

Manager will identify and develop partnerships with schools, coaching centers, and educational institutions serving K9 and K12 students, with a focus on the West Bengal board segment. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and meeting potential partners, delivering product presentations and demos, negotiating agreements, and managing relationships to drive adoption of the Tutopia Learning App. The role also involves analyzing market trends, collecting feedback from educators and students, collaborating with marketing and product teams to refine offerings, and preparing regular performance reports and forecasts.





The individual in this role will be expected to travel within the region, maintain a robust pipeline, and consistently work toward meeting growth targets.

Qualifications

- Experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within the education sector, preferably focused on K9 and K12 segments.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage school administrators, teachers, and coaching center owners.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain digital learning solutions clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in basic data analysis and reporting to track performance, evaluate opportunities, and support strategic decisions.
- Understanding of the West Bengal board curriculum and regional education landscape is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
- Comfort with using digital tools, CRM systems, and productivity software to manage leads, accounts, and daily activities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet targets, and travel within the Kolkata metropolitan area and nearby regions as required.
