Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.

- Build and maintain backend applications using Node.js and preferably Java.

- Design efficient database structures, queries, and transactions using PostgreSQL.

- Develop integrations with internal and external systems and third-party APIs.

- Implement secure, reliable, and high-performance backend services.

- Work with asynchronous processing, queues, background jobs, and event-driven systems where required.

- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance and reliability.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product teams, QA, and other stakeholders.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.

- Contribute to system documentation and technical specifications.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4-6 years of professional software development experience.

- Solid experience with Node.js or Java.

- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, SQL, indexing,



and query optimization.

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, authentication, and integrations.

- Experience working with Git and standard software development practices.

- Good understanding of software development lifecycle, debugging, testing, and deployment.

- Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Spring Boot.

- Experience building or integrating e-invoicing systems.

- Knowledge of Peppol network and e-invoicing standards.

- Experience with PINT, UBL, BIS Billing, AS4, SMP/SML, or similar standards and protocols.

- Experience developing or integrating SDKs.

- Experience with tax technology, fiscalization, or compliance platforms.

- Experience with Redis, message queues, background processing, or event-driven architectures.

- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
