Backend Engineer – Node.js (with Nest.js Experience)

About the Role

NewArtX is looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and working knowledge of Nest.js. Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems using Node.js
- Collaborate with frontend teams for seamless end-to-end integrations
- Develop and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Drive backend architecture discussions and contribute technical expertise
- Partner with DevOps/QA to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments
- Lead and mentor junior developers (if applicable)
- Stay up to date with evolving backend and Web3 technologies

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js




- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and async programming
- Hands-on with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with Next.js and full-stack integration concepts
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other relational/NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of API security (OAuth, JWT)
- Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and containerization (Docker)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior leadership or mentorship experience
- Exposure to Web3/blockchain technologies (smart contracts, etc.)
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
