Role Description The Ayurvedic Production Manager is a full-time role based in Gurgaon, India, responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations for Ayurvedic products. This role includes planning and executing daily production schedules, sourcing raw materials, and producing goods in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The manager will coordinate raw material availability, monitor batch processing, maintain equipment, and ensure timely completion of production targets.
The role also involves continuous process optimization, documentation of production records, and training team members on updated processes and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic formulations, ingredients,
and traditional preparation methods, combined with familiarity with modern pharmaceutical or nutraceutical production processes.
- Experience producing high-quality products, including capsules and drops.
- Experience managing production lines, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Understanding of quality control and quality assurance practices, GMP, hygiene standards, and regulatory requirements for Ayurvedic and herbal products.
- Ability to maintain accurate production documentation, batch records, and inventory tracking using basic computer applications and manufacturing software.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Ayurveda, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field; advanced qualifications in Ayurvedic pharmacy are an advantage.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost control.
- Effective communication and people management skills, with the ability to train and guide production staff.
- Prior experience in Ayurvedic, herbal, or nutraceutical manufacturing is highly desirable; familiarity with Indian regulatory frameworks such as AYUSH guidelines is a plus.
