Automobile Design Intern | Alfaa Design Studio

Alfaa Design Studio is looking for an Automobile Design Intern to join our design team for a 6-month or academic-project internship, working completely remotely / work from home.

We are looking for a final-year B.Des or M.Des student with a strong interest in Automobile Design and Product Design. The intern will work closely with the Design Head and Engineering Team on multiple live automobile and product design projects, gaining exposure to the complete design development process.

Role & Responsibilities

Work on multiple automobile and product design projects in parallel.

Develop design concepts, ideation and visual directions.

Create high-quality sketches and design presentations.

Support 3D modelling and surface development.

Develop Photoshop renderings and design visualisations.

Collaborate with the Design Head and Engineering Team to develop feasible design solutions.

Participate in design iterations, refinement and project development.

Contribute to CMF (Colour, Material & Finish) development where required.

What We Are Looking For

Must-Have Skills:

Fantastic automotive sketching and ideation skills

Excellent Photoshop skills

Robust 3D modelling skills

Autodesk Alias – must

Blender – must

Excellent visualisation and design communication skills





Strong understanding of form, proportion and product aesthetics

Good to Have

CMF understanding and experience

Knowledge of automotive/product design development

Understanding of basic engineering and manufacturing considerations

Eligibility

Final-year B.Des or M.Des students only

Students from Automobile Design, Transportation Design, Industrial Design or Product Design backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Internship duration: 6 months / academic project

Stipend

Stipend will be offered based on the candidate’s skill level and portfolio quality.

Your portfolio should clearly demonstrate your sketching, Photoshop rendering, 3D modelling, visualisation and design development skills. A strong automotive/product design portfolio is highly preferred.
