Role Description The Associate Professor (Pharmacy) role is a full-time, on-site position based at CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar. The role involves delivering high-quality lectures and practical sessions in pharmacy disciplines, guiding students in projects and research work, and mentoring them for academic and skilled growth.
The Associate
Professor will design and update course curricula, prepare academic materials, and ensure alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities also include conducting and publishing research, participating in academic committees, contributing to institutional development activities, and engaging in community and industry outreach relevant to pharmacy education.
The role may also involve supervising junior faculty members and supporting continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices.
Qualifications
- Academic expertise in core pharmacy subjects (such as pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, and pharmacognosy) and strong conceptual understanding of pharmaceutical sciences.
- Demonstrated teaching skills, including effective classroom management, curriculum development, use of modern pedagogical tools, and student mentoring.
- Research and scholarly abilities, including designing studies, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, guiding postgraduate or undergraduate research, and securing or contributing to research projects.
- Professional competencies in using laboratory equipment, adhering to regulatory and safety standards in pharmacy education, and integrating industry practices into teaching.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders in a diverse academic environment.
- Minimum qualification as per relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., PCI/AICTE/UGC) for Associate Professor level, typically including a Ph.D. in Pharmacy or related field and required teaching/research experience.
- Familiarity with outcome-based education, accreditation processes, and academic quality assurance; experience with digital tools and learning management systems is an added advantage.
- Commitment to ethical academic practices, continuous professional development, and active participation in institutional activities and academic events.
