Role Description The Associate Professor of Computer Science will contribute to high-quality teaching, research, and academic service within the Department of Computer Science at Amity University, Ranchi. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, designing and updating curricula, supervising student projects and theses, and mentoring learners. The role includes conducting and publishing independent and collaborative research, securing research funding where possible, and participating in departmental and university-level committees.

The Associate

Professor will engage with industry partners, support internships and placements,



and contribute to academic events such as workshops, seminars, and conferences. The position also involves maintaining high professional and ethical standards, supporting institutional accreditation efforts, and fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational and advanced knowledge in Computer Science, with the ability to teach core and specialized subjects.
- Expertise in Curriculum Development, including designing, reviewing, and updating courses aligned with industry and academic standards.
- Proficiency in Data Science concepts and tools, with experience integrating data-driven approaches into teaching and research.
- Applied knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and practices, and the ability to guide students in secure computing methodologies.
- Advanced Programming skills in relevant languages and paradigms, with experience mentoring student coding projects and research.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Evidence of peer-reviewed research publications, conference participation, and an active research agenda.
- Prior university-level teaching experience at the postgraduate and/or undergraduate level, preferably at the Associate Professor or equivalent rank.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and student-focused pedagogy.
- Ability to collaborate with industry and academic partners, contribute to institutional initiatives, and support accreditation and quality assurance processes.
