About the Role This role plays a critical role in supporting the firm's talent acquisition and human resources functions. This position is responsible for attracting and hiring top accounting, tax, audit, advisory, and support professionals while also supporting employee engagement, onboarding, performance management, HR operations, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is a people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment and is passionate about creating exceptional candidate and employee experiences.
This role provides exposure to the complete employee lifecycle and serves as a foundation for growth into HR Business Partner, Talent Management, or People Operations roles.
Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition - Support end-to-end recruitment activities for accounting, tax, audit, advisory, and shared services positions.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media platforms, referrals, networking events, and professional associations.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate assessments.
- Coordinate interviews between hiring managers and candidates.
- Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and candidate communications.
- Assist in preparing offer letters and managing pre-employment processes.
- Support campus recruitment initiatives and university partnerships.
- Build talent pipelines for recurring and critical skill positions.
- Monitor recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate experience. Onboarding & Employee Experience - Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
- Facilitate employee documentation and new hire compliance requirements.
- Partner with managers to ensure smooth employee integration.
- Conduct onboarding check-ins and gather employee feedback.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building activities. HR Generalist Support - Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries.
- Support employee relations matters through guidance, documentation, and escalation as required.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS accuracy.
- Assist with policy communication and implementation.
- Support performance review cycles and employee development initiatives.
- Participate in employee surveys and action planning exercises.
- Assist in workforce planning and organizational reporting. Compliance & HR Operations - Ensure employee records comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with HR audits and documentation reviews.
- Prepare HR reports and dashboards.
- Support leave management and employee status changes.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and employment legislation. Learning & Development - Coordinate technical and professional skills training programs.
- Support certification and professional development initiatives.
- Track training completion and learning effectiveness.
- Assist in organizing leadership and employee development programs.
Qualifications Education - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience - 1-3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience in qualified services, consulting, BPO, KPO, or CPA firms is preferred.
- Exposure to recruiting accounting, finance, tax, audit, or professional services talent is and advantage.
Technical
Skills - Familiarity with ATS and HRIS platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools preferred.
