Background of The Hans Foundation The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India.

Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.

Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 57 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

About the Role The Assistant Trainer will support the Trainer in delivering practical and theoretical training on Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Washing Machines, RO Systems, and Home Appliances under The Hans Foundation Livelihood Skills Training Programme. The role involves assisting with training delivery, lab management, trainee engagement, documentation, and ensuring a secure and productive learning environment.

Duties &

- Responsibilities

- Assist the Trainer in conducting practical and classroom sessions as per the approved curriculum.

- Support demonstrations on installation, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of RO systems, air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, and other home appliances.





- Prepare training tools, equipment, consumables, and learning materials before each session.

- Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the training laboratory and equipment.

- Assist in conducting trainee inductions, orientation programmes, and assessments.

- Maintain trainee attendance records, practical assessment records, and daily training documentation.

- Provide one-to-one practical guidance to trainees during laboratory sessions.

- Support the Trainer in implementing interactive learning activities and practical exercises.

- Assist in mobilization activities, counselling, and participant selection whenever required.

- Help monitor trainee progress and support preparation of Personal Development Plans (PDPs).

- Motivate trainees to maintain regular attendance and reduce dropouts.

- Support placement-related activities, employer interactions, and trainee documentation.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by the project.

- Ensure compliance with THF policies, safety standards, and programme guidelines.

- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Trainer, Centre Coordinator, or Project Manager.

Other Indicative Requirements

Educational Qualifications

- ITI, Diploma, or Certification in RACW (Refrigeration &
- Air Conditioning), Electrical, Home Appliances, or a related trade from a government-recognized institute.

- Additional certifications in appliance servicing will be an added advantage.

Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience &

- Other Requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)

- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in RACW servicing, installation, maintenance, or vocational training.

- Hands-on knowledge of RO systems, refrigerators,



air conditioners, washing machines, and other home appliances.

- Ability to assist in conducting practical demonstrations and laboratory sessions.

- Basic understanding of electrical wiring, testing instruments, and safety procedures.

- Experience working with youth skill development programmes will be preferred.

- Ability to communicate in Hindi; basic English communication skills are desirable.

- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and email).
