Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor Pharmacy role based at GGI in Khanna.
The Assistant
Professor will design and deliver lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in pharmacy-related subjects, ensuring alignment with regulatory and university standards.
Responsibilities include developing course materials, supervising laboratory work, mentoring students on academic and career matters, and supporting research and scholarly activities. The role also involves evaluating student performance, maintaining accurate academic records, and contributing to curriculum development and departmental meetings.
The Assistant
Professor will participate in institutional initiatives, quality assurance processes,
and outreach activities that enhance the reputation and academic standards of the pharmacy program.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree (M.Pharm) in a relevant pharmacy discipline from a recognized institution; Ph.D. or enrollment in a doctoral program is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of core pharmacy subjects such as pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, and pharmacognosy, with the ability to teach at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Experience in academic teaching, lesson planning, and student assessment, preferably in a university or professional institute setting.
- Familiarity with laboratory practices, instrumentation, and safety procedures, with the ability to supervise practical classes and guide student projects.
- Research aptitude demonstrated through publications, conference presentations, or ongoing projects; willingness to engage in funded research and collaborative work.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural academic environment.
- Commitment to outcome-based education, continuous career development, and adherence to regulatory and institutional academic standards.
- Registration with the appropriate pharmacy council (where applicable) and understanding of current professional, ethical, and industry practices in pharmacy.
