Role Description The Assistant Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication will teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in areas such as broadcast journalism, multimedia storytelling, and core journalism practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, facilitating classroom discussions, supervising student projects, and evaluating assignments and examinations. The role also involves mentoring learners, contributing to curriculum development aligned with industry standards,



and integrating CTPL’s digital platforms and tools into teaching and assessment.

The Assistant

Professor will engage in academic research, industry outreach, and departmental activities to strengthen the program and student outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, and Broadcasting, with the ability to teach and guide learners in these domains.
- Proficiency in Multimedia storytelling and digital content formats relevant to contemporary media and mass communication.
- Excellent Writing skills for academic, journalistic, and instructional content, with attention to clarity and accuracy.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., Master’s or Ph.D.) in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a closely related field.
- Previous teaching, training, or academic experience in higher education or skilled media environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with digital tools, learning management systems, and EdTech platforms for delivering and managing coursework.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and mentoring abilities, with a learner-centric and inclusive teaching approach.
- Capacity to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to curriculum innovation, and engage with industry trends in media and communication.
