Job Summary The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate B.Tech students, conducting lectures and practical sessions, preparing course material, mentoring students, and contributing to academic, research, and departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures for B.Tech students as per the prescribed syllabus.
- Conduct laboratory/practical sessions and ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Prepare lesson plans, notes, assignments, question papers, quizzes, and presentations.
- Evaluate students through internal assessments, assignments, practicals, and examinations.
- Guide students in academic projects, internships, seminars, and technical activities.
- Provide mentoring and academic support to students.
- Maintain attendance, academic records, and other departmental documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, seminars, FDPs, and other institutional activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic innovation, and technology-enabled teaching.
- Undertake research activities and publish papers in reputed journals/conferences.
- Perform examination, admission, accreditation, and other academic duties assigned by the institution.
Subject-Specific Responsibilities For Physics:
- Teach Engineering Physics and related subjects for B.Tech programmes.
- Conduct Physics laboratory sessions and practical demonstrations.
- Cover topics such as mechanics, optics, electromagnetism,
semiconductor physics, quantum physics, and contemporary physics as applicable to the curriculum.
For Computer Science:
- Teach core CSE subjects such as Programming, Data Structures, DBMS, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, and related subjects.
- Conduct programming and computer laboratory sessions.
- Guide students in coding projects, internships, emerging technologies, and technical competitions.
- Knowledge of areas such as AI/ML, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, or IoT will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification For B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering:
B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech/M.S. in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a relevant branch, with First Class or equivalent in either degree, as applicable under the institution/AICTE norms.
For Physics:
Master’s degree in Physics or a relevant discipline with the required academic percentage and NET/SET/Ph.D. eligibility as applicable under UGC/institutional norms. UGC regulations generally prescribe 55% at Master’s level and NET/SLET/SET, subject to applicable exemptions.
Experience
- Freshers with strong academic credentials may be considered.
- Teaching experience at B.Tech/UG level will be preferred.
- Relevant industry/research experience will be an added advantage.
- Ph.D. and research publications will be preferred where applicable.

- Effective classroom and laboratory management.
- Student mentoring and problem-solving ability.
- Good knowledge of MS Office/LMS/ERP and digital teaching tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and academic teams.

Note: Final eligibility should be aligned with the latest applicable UGC/AICTE norms and the affiliating university's recruitment rules. For Engineering & Technology faculty, AICTE-aligned qualifications generally require the relevant engineering/technology degree combination.
