Purpose- To manage and support SAP BASIS operations, technical administration, and system stability for the organization's SAP S/4HANA environment. The role works closely with the cloud managed services provider, AMC Partner, IT infrastructure teams, and business users to ensure secure and compliant SAP workplace.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables The role is responsible for user role administration, authorization management, and SoD compliance, along with managing SAP TR’s across Development, Quality, and Production. It supports SAP upgrades, patching, and system copy activities, and maintains audit-readiness through UAR reports, transport logs, and compliance/GxP documentation.

- User Roles, Authorization &
- SoD - Own user role creation, authorization assignment, and SoD compliance; review and approve access requests raised by the MSP before implementation.
- Transport Request Management - Review, approve, and track SAP TR’s moving through Dev →
- QA →
- Production, ensuring change control and approval workflows are followed
- Audit &
- Compliance Ownership –
- Own UAR cycles, maintain audit evidence, transport logs, and backup/DR reports; act as the internal owner during SAP technical audits and regulatory inspections
- Upgrade &
- Change Coordination - Coordinate SAP upgrades, patching,



and system copy activities planned/executed by managed services partner; validate technical readiness and sign off before Go-Live

- Maintain internal SAP documentation, SOPs, and CSV artifacts (IQ/OQ/PQ where applicable)
- Managed services governance - Act as the primary internal point of contact for the BASIS managed services partner; monitor SLA adherence, review incident/ticket resolution

Qualifications &

- Pre-Requisites

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Certification: SAP BASIS certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate –
- System Administration) preferred
- Experience: 4–5 years of SAP BASIS administration experience, including exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments
- Domain Exposure: Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated/validated (GxP) environments preferred
- Technical Knowledge: Working understanding of SAP Transport Management System (STMS), user administration/authorization, SoD principles, and system monitoring
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with UAR processes, audit documentation, and CSV concepts (IQ/OQ/PQ) is a plus

Additional notes
- Currently, BASIS-related responsibilities are shared across internal IT/BT team members and the managed services partner; this role is being created to consolidate ownership under a single accountable position.
- Required to strengthen the regulatory/compliance framework around SAP access, audit, and change management.
- Critical for supporting the upcoming SAP upgrade and RISE migration activities, ensuring internal technical readiness and governance alongside the partner
