The Area Manager will be responsible for the overall operational performance, sales growth, profitability, customer experience, team management and compliance of multiple KNS outlets within the assigned area. The position requires a hands-on leader who regularly visits outlets, identifies operational gaps, coaches outlet managers and ensures that KNS standards are consistently followed across all locations. Multi-outlet restaurant Area Manager roles commonly combine operational audits, financial performance, people development, food safety and customer experience responsibilities.

A. Multi-Outlet OperationsOversee the day-to-day operations of all assigned KNS outlets. Conduct regular and surprise outlet visits. Ensure outlets follow KNS SOPs, operational checklists and management instructions.

Ensure smooth opening and closing of outlets. Monitor kitchen, service, takeaway and delivery operations. Identify operational problems and implement corrective action immediately. Ensure proper coordination between Restaurant Managers, Store In-Charges and Head Office.

Ensure all outlets maintain consistent KNS standards. B. Sales & Business GrowthTake ownership of sales performance of assigned outlets. Review daily, weekly and monthly sales reports. Analyse sales trends, order counts, average order value and outlet performance.

Set outlet-wise sales targets in coordination with senior management. Develop action plans for underperforming outlets. Drive dine-in, takeaway and online delivery business. Ensure proper execution of KNS marketing campaigns and promotional offers.

Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for increasing sales. Encourage upselling and cross-selling by outlet teams. C. Cost Control & ProfitabilityMonitor food cost, labour cost, wastage and controllable expenses.

Ensure proper portion control and recipe adherence. Monitor wastage and identify reasons for excessive wastage. Ensure inventory is maintained within approved levels. Monitor stock variance,



pilferage and revenue leakage.

Ensure proper cash handling and daily cash reconciliation. Review outlet expenses and take corrective action wherever required. Work towards improving profitability of every assigned outlet. D. Food Quality, Hygiene & ComplianceEnsure consistent taste, quality, portion size and presentation across outlets.

Conduct regular food-quality checks. Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed. Ensure proper storage and handling of food products. Ensure cleanliness of kitchen, dining area, washrooms, storage and surrounding areas.

Ensure food handlers maintain proper hygiene, grooming and uniforms. Ensure expiry products are never used or served. Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI, FDA, hygiene, safety and company requirements.

Ensure cleaning schedules, pest-control requirements and equipment maintenance are properly followed. E.

Customer

ExperienceEnsure excellent customer service at all assigned outlets. Monitor customer reviews and ratings on delivery platforms and other channels. Track customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.

Personally interact with customers during outlet visits where required. Identify recurring customer complaints and implement preventive measures. Ensure staff maintain qualified behaviour and communication with customers.

F. Team Management & DevelopmentLead and motivate Restaurant Managers and outlet teams. Conduct regular performance reviews of outlet management. Identify high-performing employees and develop them for future leadership roles.

Identify training requirements and coordinate with HR/Operations for training. Ensure proper staffing levels at every outlet. Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, discipline and employee behaviour.

Ensure duty rosters are prepared according to business requirements. Support recruitment and onboarding of outlet staff when required. Take corrective/disciplinary action as per company policy and approval structure.

Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and ownership.
