Who We’re Looking For
- M.Sc or B.Sc in Organic Chemistry (M.Sc preferred)
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in analytical testing within a specialty chemical or pharmaceutical laboratory
- Proven expertise in aroma and specialty chemical analysis (e.g.,
volatile/semi-volatile compounds, purity profiling)
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting key analytical instruments: GC, GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, FTIR
- Strong foundation in organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, and structural elucidation
- Experience with method development, validation, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ICH, USP, cGMP)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across R&D;, synthesis, and manufacturing teams
Key Responsibilities
- Analytical Testing: Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic compounds to verify structural integrity, purity, and stability.
- Method Development & Validation: Design, optimize, and validate robust analytical procedures (e.g., for assay, residual solvents, impurities, degradation products).
- Data Interpretation & Reporting: Analyze complex datasets from advanced instrumentation (HPLC, GC, LC-MS, NMR, FTIR); prepare validation reports, Certificates of Analysis (CoA), and technical summaries.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, ISO 17025, and internal safety/environmental protocols.
- Lab Documentation: Maintain accurate, audit-ready lab notebooks, batch records, and deviation reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory readiness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D;, synthesis, and plant operations to support scale-up, troubleshooting, and tech transfer.
