Role Description The Accounts Payable Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Varanasi. The role involves processing vendor invoices, verifying purchase orders, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and contractors. Daily tasks include reviewing billing documents, resolving invoice discrepancies, maintaining up-to-date records in accounting systems, and assisting with reconciliations of vendor statements.

The associate will coordinate with project, procurement, and finance teams to clarify payment-related queries and support month-end closing activities.



The role also includes responding to vendor inquiries professionally and contributing to continuous improvement of accounts payable processes.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, validate, and reconcile invoice and payment data.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and accounting principles, especially related to payables and vendor management.
- Clear and professional communication skills for working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with invoice processing and accounts payable workflows.
- Customer service mindset, with the ability to handle vendor queries and resolve issues promptly and respectfully.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting or ERP software.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines in a construction project workplace.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in accounts payable or finance roles, especially in construction or infrastructure, is an advantage.
