Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to manage the company's financial operations, budgeting, cash flow, banking activities, financial reporting, and accounts team. The role will be responsible for maintaining financial discipline, monitoring business performance, managing banking facilities, and providing accurate financial information and recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Planning & Budgeting

Prepare annual and periodic budgets in line with business objectives.

Monitor actual expenses and income against approved budgets.

Analyze budget variances and provide corrective recommendations to management.

Support management in financial planning and decision-making.

Monitor company turnover, profitability, expenses, and working capital requirements.

- Cash Flow Management

Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow statements.

Ensure adequate availability of funds for operational requirements.

Plan cash inflows and outflows effectively.

Monitor receivables and payables to maintain healthy working capital.

Identify potential cash flow gaps in advance and recommend suitable solutions.

- Bank Overdraft & Loan Management

Manage and monitor bank overdraft (OD) facilities effectively.

Ensure optimum utilization of available bank limits and avoid unnecessary interest costs.

Coordinate with banks regarding OD facilities, renewals, documentation, and limit requirements.

Monitor existing bank loans, repayment schedules, interest payments, and outstanding balances.

Assist management in evaluating new loan/credit facilities when required.





Maintain good banking relationships and negotiate financial facilities where appropriate.

- MIS & Management Reporting

Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports.

Present cash flow, turnover, budget vs. actual, expenses, receivables, payables, bank facilities, and profitability reports to management.

Provide meaningful financial analysis and insights to support management decisions.

Highlight financial risks, variances, and areas requiring management attention.

Prepare periodic MIS reports for senior management.

- SOP, KRA & KPI Management

Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for finance and accounting processes.

Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Result Areas (KRAs) for the accounts team.

Ensure compliance with approved financial processes and internal controls.

Continuously improve accounting procedures and financial controls.

- Team Handling

Lead, supervise, and guide the accounts team.

Allocate responsibilities and monitor individual/team performance.

Review the work of accounts executives and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.

Conduct performance evaluations based on defined KRAs and KPIs.





Train and develop team members to improve efficiency and accuracy.

- Multi-State / Regional Accounts Management

Experience in handling accounts and financial operations across multiple states/branches will be preferred.

Coordinate with branch teams regarding accounting, collections, expenses, banking, and reporting.

Consolidate financial information from different locations and provide accurate reports to management.

Ensure uniform implementation of financial SOPs and controls across locations.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's/Master’s in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional qualification such as CA/CA Inter/CMA will be an added advantage.

5+ years of relevant experience in accounts and finance, preferably in a managerial role.

Strong practical experience in budgeting, cash flow management, banking, OD facilities, and loans.

Experience in preparing financial reports and presenting financial information to management.

Proven experience in team handling and multi-location/multi-state accounting operations.

Robust analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.

Good knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
