Role Overview

We are looking for an Accountant – Treasury to join the India Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC). The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting and reporting of treasury transactions, cash, investments and related balance sheet accounts in accordance with US GAAP and statutory requirements.

The position will also contribute to the standardization and harmonization of Treasury accounting processes across EMEA and work closely with internal stakeholders, Corporate Finance and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury Accounting & Reconciliations

- Maintain Treasury-related accounts for entities supported by the India FSSC.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting of cash, investments, bank transactions and other Treasury activities.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Treasury and investment accounts.
- Process bank and Treasury investment transactions through SAP/EBS functionality.
- Identify, investigate and resolve reconciliation differences and accounting discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger.
- Ensure transactions and supporting documentation are recorded in the correct accounting period.
- Review accounting documents for completeness, accuracy, consistency and compliance.
- Research and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.

Month-End & Financial Reporting
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare monthly reporting for Corporate Finance in line with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain month-end,



quarter-end and year-end closing schedules.
- Perform balance sheet and income statement account analysis.
- Conduct actual vs. budget variance analysis and investigate significant variances.
- Process accruals during month-end close.
- Assist in the preparation of Quarterly Variance Reviews (QVRs).
- Respond to Corporate Finance questionnaires and reporting requirements.

Internal Controls & Audit
- Support internal control reviews and activities related to SOX Section 404 requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and provide required analyses and documentation.
- Respond to audit queries and support timely resolution of audit issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls.

Projects & Process Improvement
- Support Treasury accounting process standardization and harmonization initiatives across EMEA.
- Participate in special projects involving General Accounting and ERP systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
- Support projects and ad-hoc requests from Finance and Corporate stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- CA or CMA qualification is mandatory.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior experience in Treasury Accounting and/or General Ledger Accounting.




- Experience working in a Finance Shared Services / Global Business Services environment.
- Prior experience in a large multinational organization with high-volume and performance-driven finance operations.
- SAP experience is mandatory.
- Experience with Hyperion is preferred.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting and internal controls.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis and month-end closing.
- Solid experience in identifying, investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies.
- Exposure to audit processes and SOX/internal controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA/CMA with 3–5 years of experience, preferably from an MNC/Finance Shared Services environment, with hands-on exposure to Treasury Accounting, SAP, General Ledger, US GAAP, reconciliations and month-end close.

Immediate joiners or candidates with a maximum 30-day notice period will be preferred.
