As a growing fashion business, we are looking for an accountant who can take ownership of our accounting, financial reporting, costing, compliance coordination, and financial analysis.

Role DescriptionWe are looking for someone to manage and strengthen the financial function at SUBO.

This role will primarily focus on accounting, financial management, reporting, costing, cash flow, compliance, and business analysis. You will work closely with the founders and internal teams to maintain accurate financial records, monitor the financial health of the business, and provide insights that support better business decisions.

A strong practical foundation in accounting and finance is essential for this position.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

- Maintain accurate books of accounts, including sales, purchases, expenses, receivables, and payables
- Manage bank reconciliation and ensure financial records are up to date
- Track and monitor cash flow and working capital
- Prepare and maintain monthly P&L; reports and financial statements
- Assist with GST, taxation, compliance, and statutory requirements in coordination with the CA
- Maintain proper documentation and records for financial transactions
- Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries for management
- Analyse revenue, expenses, margins, and overall business performance
- Handle product-level costing and maintain accurate cost sheets
- Analyse product margins and support pricing decisions
- Monitor inventory from a financial perspective, including dead stock, slow-moving inventory, and stock value
- Track and analyse major business expenses and identify areas for cost control




- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Identify discrepancies or financial irregularities and ensure timely resolution
- Build and maintain financial reports using Excel/Google Sheets
- Work closely with the founders to provide financial insights and data-driven recommendations

Required QualificationsPlease apply only if you have prior exposure to accounting or finance through one or more of the following:

- Accounting or finance internship
- Articleship or relevant accounting experience
- CA/CMA qualification or ongoing training

We’re Looking For

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Practical knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting
- Good understanding of GST and basic statutory compliance
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Analytical and numbers-oriented approach
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to independently manage recurring financial tasks
- Good understanding of P&L;, cash flow, margins, and costing
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- High sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights

Compensation & LocationSalary: ₹17,000–₹20,000 per month

Location: Surat, Gujarat

Work Mode: In office
