About the Role
QBS Learning is looking for an experienced Accessibility Manager to lead accessibility testing and compliance across digital learning products, web applications, and educational content. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of global accessibility standards, experience working with international clients, and excellent communication and training skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accessibility testing and compliance activities for web applications, digital learning products and educational content.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA, Section 508 and ARIA standards.
- Conduct accessibility audits for websites, e-learning content, PDFs, Word and PowerPoint documents.
- Work with tools and assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe and WAVE.
- Identify accessibility issues and provide explicit remediation recommendations to development, design and content teams.
- Prepare accessibility test plans, reports and VPAT/ACR reports.
- Work directly with international clients to understand accessibility requirements, discuss findings and provide solutions.
- Collaborate with QA, Development, Design and Content teams to ensure accessibility is incorporated into projects.
- Train,
mentor and guide junior accessibility testers and conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Develop accessibility checklists, testing guidelines and best practices for the team.
- Stay updated on accessibility standards, tools and industry practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Accessibility Testing / Accessibility QA, preferably in a lead or managerial role.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of WCAG, ADA, Section 508 and ARIA.
- Experience with web accessibility, InDesign and PDF/document accessibility.
- Good understanding of HTML5, semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, focus order, reading order and tables.
- Hands-on experience with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack.
- Experience with accessibility testing and audit tools such as Axe, WAVE or similar tools.
- Experience preparing accessibility reports and providing remediation guidance.
- Experience working with international clients, preferably US/UK/global clients.
- Strong preference for candidates from EdTech, educational publishing, e-learning or digital content backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical accessibility concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong training, mentoring and team-handling skills.
- CPACC certification is preferred.
