Role Purpose:

The Project Manager is accountable for supporting the successful delivery of projects by maintaining control over: Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality Client Commitments. The role contributes directly to Harickson's project delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing assigned engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and EPC project activities from project initiation through successful completion. The role ensures that assigned work packages and projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, quality, and statutory requirements. The Project Engineer works closely with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Site Teams, Vendors, and Clients to coordinate project execution, monitor progress, resolve day-to-day issues, and provide timely project updates to senior management. The role is expected to demonstrate strong ownership, effective coordination, and sound project execution while continuously developing leadership and commercial Competencies.

Job Profile:

Project Planning & Execution:





- Prepare project execution schedules for assigned projects.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, logistics, and site activities.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules.
- Identify delays and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned project milestones.

Project Coordination & Monitoring:

- Coordinate activities between Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, Document
- Control, and Site Teams.
- Track project deliverables and action items.
- Monitor project progress and prepare status updates.
- Escalate project issues requiring management attention.

Engineering Coordination:

- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering deliverables.
- Ensure engineering documents are issued as per project schedule.
- Follow up on engineering review comments.
- Support technical discussions and engineering coordination meetings.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination:

- Monitor procurement activities and vendor progress.
- Coordinate vendor document reviews.
- Support inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
- Follow up on equipment deliveries and procurement schedules.

Client Coordination & Communication:

- Coordinate routine communication with clients.
- Participate in project review meetings.
- Follow up on client comments and action items.
- Support preparation of project progress reports and technical correspondence.

Project Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain project schedules, action registers, risk registers, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and revision controlled.
- Support preparation of monthly project reports and management update.

Quality, Risk & Compliance:

- Support implementation of project quality requirements.
- Monitor project risks and communicate potential issues to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, engineering standards, and contractual requirements.
- Promote safe project execution practices.

Desired Profile:

- BE / B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical / Process / Industrial) or a related Engineering discipline with 4 to 8 yrs experience in Process Design & Engineering with EPC / Turnkey Projects Design Engineering companies.
- Expertise in Process Designing for Engineering & EPC, Pharmaceuticals, Specialty Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Fertilizers, Food & Beverage, Process Equipment Manufacturing, Industrial Plants etc.
- Exposure to process plants, industrial projects, or equipment manufacturing is desirable.
- Deliver assigned project activities within approved schedules.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects is preferred.
- Coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical Competencies in EPC Project Management, Project Planning & Scheduling, Cost Control & Budget Management, Contract Administration, Risk Management, Engineering Coordination, Procurement & Vendor Management, Client Relationship Management, Construction & Commissioning Coordination, Quality Management Systems, Project Documentation & Reporting, Commercial Awareness, International Engineering Standards.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) or training is preferred.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Support timely procurement and engineering deliverables.
- Resolve routine project issues proactively.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and continuous professional development.
- Support successful completion of projects while contributing to overall client satisfaction.
- Strong Knowledge of ERP Systems, Microsoft Teams / SharePoint, AutoCAD (Basic Understanding), Document Management Systems.
