Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Mechanical CAD Designer with practical experience in Sheet Metal Design, Die Design, Mechanical Assembly and Manufacturing Drawings.

The candidate should be capable of independently preparing accurate and manufacturing-ready 2D & 3D designs, including complete assemblies, detailed components, dies, sheet metal parts and threaded components.

- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare complete 2D & 3D mechanical drawings and models.
- Design Sheet Metal Components, Parts and Assemblies.
- Prepare Sheet Metal Flat Patterns, Bend Details and Development Drawings.
- Design Dies, Die Components, Jigs, Fixtures and Tooling.
- Prepare complete Die Assembly and Detailed Part Drawings.
- Design threaded parts, holes, shafts, brackets, plates and mechanical components.
- Create complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Prepare BOM, Assembly Drawings and Manufacturing Drawings.
- Apply proper dimensions, tolerances, fits, clearances, GD&T; and material specifications.




- Perform 3D interference/clash checking to ensure proper assembly.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, error-free and manufacturing-ready.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication and machining teams.
- Modify and optimize designs based on manufacturing requirements.
- Required Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Drawing.
- Excellent knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD.
- Solid understanding of Sheet Metal Design & Die Design.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances, fits and clearances.
- Knowledge of threaded components and standard mechanical parts.
- Understanding of laser cutting, bending, welding, CNC machining and fabrication.
- Ability to convert concept/design requirements into complete 2D & 3D manufacturing drawings.
- Ability to independently handle Part → Assembly → Detailed Drawing → Manufacturing Drawing.

CAD SoftwareExperience in any of the following is preferred:

SolidWorks | AutoCAD | Creo | Solid Edge | CATIA

Preferred CandidateCandidates having hands-on experience in Sheet Metal, Die/Tool Design, Machine Design, Fabrication or Mechanical Assembly Design will be preferred.

Qualification: ITI Draftsman Mechanical / Diploma Mechanical / B.Tech Mechanical
