We are seeking an experienced Java API Developer to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The successful candidate will independently design, implement, and maintain backend features within an existing Spring Boot application. You will be responsible for ensuring code quality, troubleshooting production issues, and actively participating in team code reviews.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 3 to 7 years in Java backend development.
- Core Technical Skills:
- Languages & Frameworks: Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security.
- Data & Integration: REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, SQL.
- Java Fundamentals: Solid proficiency in Streams, Collections, and Optional API.
- Engineering Practices: Dependency Injection, Unit Testing (JUnit/Mockito), Docker, and Git.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microservices architecture, Observability tools, AWS, and production support environments.
