Job Description – Senior Software Engineer (Java Full Stack)

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with robust expertise in Java-based enterprise application development and modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, modernizing, and enhancing mission-critical applications while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering excellence through AI-enabled development practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Angular.

- Analyze existing applications and drive modernization initiatives, including architecture improvements, performance optimization, and cloud-ready design.

- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions following industry best practices and design patterns.

- Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and solution discussions.

- Mentor and guide junior developers through technical coaching, best practices, and code quality improvements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Business Analysts.

- Promote secure coding, performance tuning, and high-quality software engineering practices.

- Leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, AI-assisted testing and code analysis) to improve engineering productivity and quality.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and automated testing.

Required Skills





- 5–8+ years of experience in Java application development.

- Solid expertise in:

- Core Java (Java 8/11/17) and advanced Java concepts

- Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security

- Hibernate/JPA

- RESTful APIs and Microservices

- Angular (latest versions), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3

- SQL and relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL)

- Solid understanding of software architecture, design principles, design patterns, and system scalability.

- Experience in application modernization and legacy system transformation.

- Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, and CI/CD practices.

- Knowledge of secure coding standards and performance optimization techniques.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder interaction skills.

- Proven ability to mentor developers and lead technical discussions.

- Strong problem-solving mindset with ownership and accountability.

Good to Have

- Experience in Credit Guarantee Systems or BFSI lending platforms.

- Knowledge of banking, financial services, or insurance domain.

- Exposure to Kubernetes, OpenShift, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

- Familiarity with AI-driven software engineering practices and GenAI-assisted development.

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

- Relevant certifications in Java, Spring, Cloud, or AI technologies are an added advantage.
