Job Description Responsibilities n Incoming Student Mobility&Pastoral; Care n n Pre-Arrival Management: Act as the primary liaison for nominated and accepted incoming international students, providing pre-departure guidelines, packing lists, and travel logistics. n Onboarding&Orientation;: Design, execute, and be the first point of contact for comprehensive orientation programs tailored to international students, helping them acclimatize to campus, the academic system, and local culture. n Academic Coordination: Assist incoming exchange students with initial course mapping and registration in coordination with the Program Office and Dean of Programs.n Student Support: Serve as a continuous resource for international students on campus life, accommodation queries, and cultural adjustment throughout their stay. Meet them on a fortnight basis to ensure any concerns or needs are addressed promptly, so students have access to campus support services, mental health and well-being, and academic support.n n FRRO, Visa&Regulatory; Compliance n n Immigration Liaison: Serve as the subject matter expert on Indian student visa regulations, guiding prospective and current international students through applications, renewals, and conversions, from their home countries. n e-FRRO Management: Oversee the institutional e-FRRO portal, guide incoming students through mandatory registration upon arrival, and ensure Residence Permits (RP) are processed within statutory timelines (C-Forms within 24 hrs&S-Forms; within 14 days). n Form C&Form; II (S Form) Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with local immigration law through timely filing of Form C (arrival/departure of foreigners) and Form II / S Form (student tracking). n Study in India (SII) Portal:
Ensure approvals for International students, and coordinate with the Registrar's Office, Admissions, and Outreach for student requirements.n Troubleshooting: Proactively resolve administrative bottlenecks on visa renewals; act as primary contact for the local Pune FRRO office and the SII Helpdesk. n n Institutional Coordination n n Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Understand the guidance of the Director of the International Relations Office, the incumbent will work closely with the Program Office, the Registrar's Office, and campus housing to ensure a seamless flow of data on international student enrolments, statuses, and course timelines.n Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, audit-ready databases of all international student passports, visas, FRRO certificates, and enrolment documents. This would be a major requirement for all reports and accreditation purposes. n IQAC Repository: Be the single point of contact for all IQAC related data and report requirements.n Reporting&Documentation;: n Reporting: The incumbent would be expected to produce monthly reports on the current and prospective International/OCI students on campus, and track any visa, or resident permit renewals. n Manage and meticulously revise MOUs, and collaboration documents. n n Qualificationsn n Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Education Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred). n 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in higher education, specifically in international student services, mobility programs, or university admissions. n Proven, practical experience operating the e-FRRO portal and a robust understanding of Indian immigration law for foreign students. Experience with the Study in India (SII) portal is highly preferred.n
