Responsibilities
Design and implement robust geospatial services using Java and modern C plus plus seventeen to support high volume spatial data processing workflows
Develop efficient algorithms for spatial indexing routing proximity search and coordinate transformations to optimize performance of location aware applications
Build reusable components and application programming interfaces that expose geospatial capabilities to internal systems and customer facing products across the enterprise
Optimize memory usage and execution time of C plus plus seventeen modules by applying appropriate data structures multithreading techniques and compiler optimization strategies
Integrate geospatial libraries and tools such as coordinate reference systems spatial databases and tile rendering engines into existing application ecosystems
Collaborate with product owners business analysts and architects to translate geospatial requirements into detailed technical designs and implementation plans
Review peer code for quality maintainability and adherence to secure coding practices while providing constructive feedback that improves overall team output
Troubleshoot complex production incidents related to geospatial data quality performance bottlenecks and integration issues and implement sustainable fixes
Create automated unit integration and regression tests that validate geospatial logic and ensure reliability of core services across multiple environments
Document system architecture workflows and deployment procedures in explicit technical language to support future maintenance and onboarding of new team members
Work closely with DevOps and platform teams to package deploy and monitor Java and C plus plus seventeen services in hybrid cloud environments using standardized pipelines
Engage with data engineering teams to ingest cleanse and manage large scale geospatial datasets ensuring accuracy consistency and timely availability for downstream applications
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new geospatial technologies programming techniques and tools that can enhance productivity and solution quality
Qualifications
Possess a degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience with a focus on software development
Bring three to six years of hands on experience in designing and building applications using Java in large scale enterprise contexts
Demonstrate practical expertise with C plus plus seventeen including templates memory management and modern language features for high performance computing
Exhibit strong knowledge of geospatial concepts such as projections coordinate systems vector and raster data and spatial analysis techniques
Show experience working with spatial databases or geospatial extensions and be comfortable writing complex spatial queries for analytical scenarios
Display proficiency in working with version control systems and collaborative development practices that support code review branching and continuous integration
Apply solid understanding of object oriented design patterns clean code principles and test driven development to deliver maintainable solutions
Communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders ensuring that geospatial solution design and delivery align with business objectives
Certifications Required
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer or equivalent and any recognized certification in C plus plus or Java such as Oracle Certified Professional Java
