We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive sales and business development across the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have robust experience in the stationery industry, preferably with notebooks, diaries, paper products, or related products.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and achieve sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Manage and expand the distributor and dealer network.
- Identify new distributors, retailers, institutional customers, and business opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing distributors and key customers.
- Ensure regular market visits and monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and product movement.
- Drive secondary sales and improve product visibility and distribution.
- Plan and execute sales promotions and schemes in coordination with the management.
- Prepare sales forecasts, territory plans, and regular sales reports.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from customers.
- Coordinate with production, dispatch, and accounts teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.




- Track inventory at distributor/dealer level and ensure availability of key SKUs.
- Train, guide, and manage sales representatives where applicable.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the stationery industry.
- Experience in notebooks, diaries, school stationery, office stationery, paper products, or similar categories preferred.
- Strong understanding of distributor and retailer networks.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Good communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic sales reporting.
- Strong market knowledge and ability to develop new business.

Preferred Candidate-Candidates currently working with notebook, stationery, paper, school supplies, or writing-instrument companies will be preferred.
