Designation : Manager / Senior Manager
Location : Mumbai - Goregaon
Reporting To : Chief Executive Officer
Function : Finance & Accounts
Role Purpose:
Incumbent will be responsible for managing the Finance & Accounts function for Kotak Mahindra Pension Fund Limited (KMPFL), ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance, governance, regulatory adherence, treasury management, financial reporting, budgeting, audit management, and Board-level financial oversight.
The incumbent will act as the custodian of financial controls, accounting standards, taxation compliance, cash flow management, and stakeholder reporting while ensuring adherence to the Income Tax Act, GST Act, Companies Act, Accounting Standards, and other applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Accounting
•Ensure accurate and timely monthly closure of books for KMPFL.
•Prepare monthly MIS, management reports, and financial performance dashboards.
•Oversee preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
•Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and regulatory guidelines.
•Present financial results and key observations to the management and Board.
2. Statutory Compliance & Taxation
•Ensure timely payment of all statutory dues including:
•TDS, GST, Other applicable taxes and levies
•Oversee filing of:
•Income Tax Returns, GST Returns, TDS Returns
•Monitor GST input credit reconciliation and optimize tax positions.
•Ensure full compliance under:
•Income Tax Act, GST Act, Companies Act, Accounting Standards and other applicable laws and regulations.
3. Audit & Internal Controls
•Lead and coordinate:
•Internal Audit
•IFC Audit
•Statutory Audit
•GST Audit
•Tax Audit
•Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
•Strengthen internal financial controls and governance framework.
•Drive clean audit reports with minimal qualifications or adverse observations.
4. Treasury & Working Capital Management
•Monitor liquidity and working capital requirements.
•Ensure adequate availability of funds for:
oVendor Payments
oEmployee Costs
oStatutory Payments
oOperational Expenses
•Make recommendations regarding investment and disinvestment of surplus funds.
•Monitor cash flows and optimize utilization of financial resources.
5. Budgeting & Financial Planning
•Lead annual budgeting exercises.
•Conduct monthly budget versus actual reviews.
•Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
•Support strategic financial decision-making with business insights.
6. Vendor and Payment Governance
•Ensure vendor payments are processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
•Monitor payment controls and approval mechanisms.
•Strengthen vendor payment governance and reconciliation processes.
7. Regulatory & Board Governance
•Monitor Related Party Transactions (RPTs).
•Ensure all transactions remain within Board-approved omnibus limits.
•Present RPT reports and compliance status to the Board.
•Support Board meetings with financial analysis and regulatory updates.
8. GST Management
•Ensure filing of timely GST returns
•Ensure correctness of GST input tax credit carried forward every month.
•Drive reduction in annual GST write-offs through robust reconciliations.
Educational Qualification:
Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
•Additional qualifications such as CPA, CMA, MBA (Finance) will be an advantage
Experience:
•0-2 years of post-qualification experience in Finance, Accounts, Taxation, Treasury, Compliance and Financial Reporting.
•Experience in Financial Services, Asset Management, Pension Fund, NBFC or BFSI sector preferred.
