Job Description Position: Plumbing & Fire Design Engineer
n Location: [Mumbai / Bangalore / Gurgaon]
n Experience: 5–10 Years
n Industry: Infrastructure / EPC / Engineering Consultancy
n Key Responsibilities
n n Design and engineering of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for infrastructure and EPC projects.
n Prepare detailed design calculations, layouts, schematics, specifications and technical reports.
n Develop plumbing and fire protection layouts using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.
n Design systems including:
n Hot & cold water systems
n Soil, waste and stormwater drainage
n Sewerage and water treatment interfaces
n Fire hydrant, sprinkler and fire water systems
n Fire pumps, tanks and associated firefighting infrastructure
n Carry out hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing for plumbing and firefighting systems.
n Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Electrical, HVAC, Architecture and other engineering disciplines to resolve design interfaces and clashes.
n Review project specifications, client requirements, applicable codes and standards, and ensure compliance.
n Prepare BOQs, equipment schedules, material specifications and tender documentation.
n Review drawings, technical submittals and vendor documents and provide engineering comments.
n Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings and client discussions.
n Support site/project teams during construction, including resolution of technical queries and design-related issues.
n Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for BIM coordination and clash detection.
n Ensure designs are delivered within agreed quality,



schedule and project requirements.
n n Required Qualifications & Skills
n n Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
n 5–10 years of relevant experience in Plumbing & Fire Protection design, preferably within Infrastructure, EPC or Engineering Consultancy projects.
n Robust knowledge of NBC, NFPA, IS Codes and other applicable international standards.
n Hands-on experience with AutoCAD; exposure to Revit MEP/BIM is preferred.
n Good understanding of plumbing and firefighting design calculations and engineering principles.
n Experience in preparing design drawings, calculations, specifications and BOQs.
n Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
n Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
n Experience in large-scale infrastructure, industrial, commercial, transportation, water or EPC projects will be an advantage.
n n Preferred Experience
n n Experience working with multidisciplinary design consultants or EPC organisations.
n Exposure to international projects and standards.
n Experience in BIM-based design and coordination.
n Ability to independently handle design deliverables from concept/design development through detailed engineering.
