Job Description:

- Draw blood from patients using venipuncture or skin puncture techniques
- Correctly label and document blood samples for testing
- Maintain a sterile work environment and follow safety protocols to prevent contamination and infection
- Ensure patient comfort and handle any adverse reactions to blood draws
- Manage and maintain medical instruments and supplies.
- Work with medical professionals to support clinical diagnostics.
- Update patient records with details of the blood draw.
- Explain procedures to patients and ease their concerns.

- Proficient in venipuncture
- Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labeling samples
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
- Positive organizational and observational skills
- Caring and kind, with a willingness to be hands-on with patients

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of human anatomy
