ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Client Engagement Manager in the CFO Practice, you will lead the execution of Fractional CFO services across multiple clients, acting as the trusted anchor for founders and finance teams. The role demands strong financial expertise, disciplined execution, and mature stakeholder management. You will drive end-to-end financial transformation across FP&A;, compliance, governance, cost optimization, controls, and performance management—building the foundation to grow into a T-shaped financial leader with deep finance capability and broad business understanding.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Client Relationships

- Work directly with founders, CFOs, and CXOs as a trusted finance partner.
- Understand the client’s business model, growth priorities, financial gaps, and operational challenges.
- Conduct meaningful conversations, navigate financial sensitivities, and build credibility.
- Strengthen long-term relationships to ensure continuity, mandate expansion, and multi-year engagement stability.

Drive Fractional CFO Execution

(This is hands-on execution: Diagnosis → Design → Roll-out → Reviews → Coaching)

You will be responsible for delivering across key pillars of the finance function, including:

- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and rolling financial plans.
- Build and manage MIS reports and track variances.
- Support scenario planning and business decision-making.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Track inflows/outflows and strengthen treasury discipline.
- Implement working capital improvements and controls.
- Controllership & Governance
- Strengthen financial controls, accounting hygiene, and audit readiness.
- Improve processes across AR, AP, reconciliations, and month-end closure.
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight




- Support statutory filings, tax compliance, internal audits, and risk reporting.
- Ensure timelines and governance expectations are fully met.
- Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Build dashboards on Power BI/Excel.
- Support margin improvement, revenue assurance, and cost diagnostics.
- Systems & Process Improvements
- Support ERP/finance tool roll-out, automation workflows, and SOP design.
- Streamline finance operations for efficiency and accuracy.
- Investor & Board Support
- Ensure half yearly and yearly audits are conducted on time
- Financials as per schedule 3 A
- Compliance with IAS.
- Filing of annual income tax returns.
- Assist in board decks, financial models, fundraising materials, and investor readiness—if applicable to the mandate.

Deliver with Discipline

- Create project plans and drive weekly/monthly outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal CFO consultants, analysts, and SMEs to deliver quality engagements.
- Maintain documentation, trackers, and dashboards with accuracy.
- Ensure seamless execution from Diagnosis → Build → Operate → Handover .

Solve Problems with Maturity

- Bring structure to ambiguous financial challenges.
- Use data, judgement, and practical thinking to develop solutions.
- Balance founder expectations with organizational constraints.
- Say what needs to be said—with honesty, empathy, and professionalism.

Contribute to Flipcarbon’s Growth

- Build frameworks,



playbooks, and reusable assets for the CFO Practice.
- Mentor analysts and junior consultants.
- Strengthen internal capability and delivery standards.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell relevant finance offerings.
- Establish a strong LinkenIN presence to grow Flipcarbon’s network and footprint

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have

- CA-2+ years of experience, or
- Inter Chartered Account with 5+ years of Experience
- Management Accountant with 2-3 years of experience

Good to Have

- Professional certifications: CA, CMA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Zoho Books, Tally)
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or financial modelling tools
- Exposure to financial advisory, due diligence, or consulting environments

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- 5-8 years of experience in finance, controllership, FP&A;, consulting, or advisory roles
- Experience working directly with founders, CFOs, SMEs, or high-growth companies is preferred
- Exposure to multi-industry finance operations or finance transformation projects is an advantage.
