Job Description We are looking for an experienced Retail AP & Inventory Accounting Team Lead to lead a high-performing team responsible for Accounts Payable, Inventory Accounting, and Financial Controls activities.
n Key Responsibilities
n n Lead end-to-end Inventory Accounting and Accounts Payable processes.
n Oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
n Manage inventory, AP, GR/IR, accrual, clearing account and balance sheet reconciliations.
n Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards.
n Investigate and resolve complex accounting discrepancies, aged balances, and reconciling items.
n Drive process improvements, standardisation, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
n Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Field Accounting, and business stakeholders.
n Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.




n Act as an escalation point for operational and stakeholder issues.
n n What We're Looking For
n Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline
n Solid experience in:
n n Inventory Accounting
n Accounts Payable (AP)
n Balance Sheet Reconciliations
n GR/IR Reconciliations
n Month-End Close
n Financial Controls & SOX Compliance
n SAP (MIRO, MIGO, FBL1N preferred)
n n Proven people leadership and stakeholder management experience
n Ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
n Preferred Background
n n Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Shared Services, or Global Business Services (GBS) environment
n Experience leading process transitions and change initiatives
n Exposure to automation and process improvement projects
