Job Description We manufacture natural personal care products — cold pressing, filling and batch testing in our own facility in Gurugram — and sell them on Amazon across India, the US, UAE, UK and Germany, plus our own D2C stores.
n We are looking for one person to own global FBA inventory end to end.
n The problem you'd be solving
n Right now our inventory decisions are made reactively. We find out a SKU is running short when it runs short. We discover excess when the storage fee lands. Our stock sits unevenly across fulfilment centres, so a customer in Bangalore sees a slower delivery promise than a customer in Delhi on the same product — and that costs us the sale before advertising ever gets involved.
n Across five marketplaces, four of them requiring international shipping lead times, this is a real planning problem. It needs someone who will build a system rather than fight fires.
n What you'd own
n n Demand forecasting by SKU by marketplace, and the replenishment plan that follows from it
n The deliberate trade-off between stockout risk and excess holding cost — set per SKU, with a stated service-level target, not a guess
n FBA inbound planning, shipment creation, and inventory placement across fulfilment centres so delivery promise is competitive in every region we sell in
n International shipment planning for US, UK, UAE and Germany, working backwards from lead times to production dates
n Inventory Performance Index, storage fees, aged inventory, and removal decisions
n Coordination with our purchase team and our factory: converting the sales forecast into a production plan far enough ahead that shipments leave on time
n The weekly inventory report the leadership team runs on — stock cover in weeks, at-risk SKUs, excess, and what you're doing about each
n n What we're looking for
n n 3+ years in inventory planning, demand planning, or supply chain — Amazon FBA experience is a strong advantage but we will consider strong planners from other e-commerce, retail, FMCG or manufacturing backgrounds
n Genuinely advanced Excel or Google Sheets. Not "proficient." You should be comfortable building a forecasting model from scratch, and be able to explain why you chose the approach you did. SQL, Python or Power BI are a plus, not a requirement
n A degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, operations or a similar quantitative discipline — or a track record that clearly demonstrates the same reasoning ability
n Comfortable talking to a factory floor as well as to a spreadsheet. A large part of this job is getting production to happen on time, and that is a people problem as much as a planning one
n Based in or willing to relocate to Gurugram. This role is in office — you need to be able to walk into the factory
