Branch Manager – GSI Bangkok

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Department: Operations & Business Development

Reporting To: GSI Management / GSI India

Role Overview

The Branch Manager will be responsible for the overall management and smooth functioning of GSI’s Bangkok operations. The role requires strong leadership, operational discipline, process adherence, customer management, and business development skills. The Branch Manager will act as the key link between the Bangkok branch, GSI India, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Branch Operations: Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day functioning of the Bangkok branch, ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely operations.
- Team Management: Lead, supervise, and motivate the team; ensure discipline, attendance, productivity, and professional conduct.
- Production & Quality: Monitor daily production, workflow, turnaround times, and productivity while ensuring GSI processes and quality standards are consistently followed.
- Process Compliance: Understand GSI’s operational processes thoroughly and ensure that all team members follow established procedures and guidelines.
- Performance Monitoring: Track team and branch performance against defined targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting:



Prepare and share regular reports covering production, productivity, business development, customer activity, and overall branch performance with GSI India.
- Coordination with GSI India: Maintain regular communication with the designated counterpart in the GSI India office and ensure timely exchange of operational and business updates.
- Customer Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, address operational requirements, and ensure a high level of customer service.
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in Bangkok and surrounding markets; build relationships with potential customers and industry stakeholders.
- New Customer Onboarding: Coordinate with new customers to understand their requirements and ensure a smooth transition into GSI’s services.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify operational challenges and take appropriate corrective action in coordination with GSI management.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate with 5–8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in operations, laboratory services, jewellery, gemology, or a related industry.
- Strong people-management and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team independently.
- Good understanding of process-driven operations, productivity, quality, and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage customers and business relationships.
- Commercially oriented with the ability to develop new business and expand the branch’s customer base.
- Disciplined, organized, accountable, and hands-on in approach.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with international teams and the GSI USA and India office.
- Knowledge of the jewellery/gemological industry will be an advantage.
- Fluency in English is essential and Thai language.
