About the Role

We are looking for a high-impact Assistant Vice President – Lending to lead and scale our Merchant Lending business. The role will be responsible for driving sales, merchant acquisition, loan sourcing, disbursements, revenue growth, and portfolio expansion through a large field sales network.

The incumbent will own business performance across assigned geographies and lead a multi-layered sales organization to deliver aggressive growth targets while maintaining strong portfolio quality and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities / KRAs

- Own end-to-end sales performance and business growth for the Merchant Lending portfolio across assigned geographies.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual targets covering merchant acquisition, loan sourcing, disbursements, revenue, and portfolio growth.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a large field sales organization comprising Area Managers, Team Leaders, and Sales Executives.
- Drive high-volume loan sourcing by improving merchant activation, sales productivity, funnel conversion, and field execution.
- Monitor daily business performance, productivity, conversion ratios, disbursement volumes, revenue, and other critical lending metrics.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to accelerate growth, expand market presence, and improve market share.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales leaders while building a strong performance-driven culture.
- Identify new markets, channels, merchant segments, and business opportunities to expand the lending portfolio.
- Work closely with Credit, Risk, Operations,



Collections, Product, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure sustainable business growth and portfolio quality.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, audit, operational, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive business profitability, sales efficiency, productivity, and overall lending performance across assigned markets.
- Provide regular business reviews, strategic insights, and growth plans to the Chief Business Officer and senior leadership.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 12+ years of experience in leading large retail sales or lending businesses across Merchant Lending, SME Lending, Business Loans, Fintech, Banking, or NBFCs.
- Proven experience managing high-volume loan sourcing and disbursement businesses.
- Strong track record of leading large, distributed field sales teams across multiple geographies.
- Expertise in merchant acquisition, retail distribution, sales strategy, channel management, and revenue growth.
- Demonstrated success in scaling businesses, expanding into new markets, and consistently achieving aggressive targets.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive business numbers, profitability, productivity, and operational excellence.
- Experience managing large, multi-layered sales organizations.
- Robust understanding of lending metrics, sales productivity, portfolio growth, conversion, and business profitability.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and business planning skills.
- Strong ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales leadership teams.
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced, target-driven environment with extensive travel across assigned markets.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
- Delhi NCR / Noida-based candidates preferred. Relocation candidates may be considered based on business requirements.
