The role of Sourcing engineer will be responsible for the execution of sourcing operations, by conducting comprehensive supplier assessments, engaging in negotiations, uncovering and capitalizing on cost-saving prospects, and assessing potential risks to devise and apply effective mitigation plans.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
lDrive procurement process improvements by leveraging tools for managing supplier onboarding, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies to achieve strategic sourcing objectives.
lEstablish and maintain a comprehensive supplier database on platforms like Ariba, ensuring a strategic approach to supplier selection and relationship management.
lDevelop and execute negotiation strategies in collaboration with the Category Lead, including drafting NDAs, and floating RFQss to secure optimal terms and pricing.
lIdentifying cost-saving opportunities through LAMP and driving procurement cost optimization initiatives.
lMonitor and minimize variances between budgeted and actual procurement costs, ensuring financial discipline and alignment with the organization's fiscal policies.
lManaging vendor relationships to foster collaboration and maintain high service levels.
lCoordinating with the quality team to ensure materials meet the required standards, enhancing product reliability.
lOversee the supplier onboarding process, including the execution of NDAs and validation of supplier details against recommended sites like NSDL, to maintain a compliant and effective supplier base.
lDirectly negotiate with suppliers for the best prices and terms while upholding quality standards.
lManage the onboarding of new suppliers to ensure smooth integration into the supply chain.
lHandle contract amendments, including BPA and PO adjustments, by negotiating changes, updating ERP systems, and communicating effectively with suppliers and internal finance teams.
lLead supplier development initiatives to align with strategic goals individually.
lSending RFQs and obtaining competitive offers to introduce more efficient procurement processes.
lImplementing vendor dispute resolution processes to improve vendor relationships and procurement cycle efficiency.
lContinuously identifying and onboarding qualified vendors to enhance the supply chain’s adaptability and performance.
