Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SRE / Observability Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in New Relic (Mandatory), observability, monitoring, cloud technologies, automation, AIOps, and AI/ML. The candidate should have experience designing and implementing observability strategies across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect observability strategies across multi-cloud and hybrid environments for full-stack visibility of applications, infrastructure, and services.
- Design and enforce observability standards and instrumentation guidelines for microservices, APIs, front-end applications, SaaS applications, COTS applications, and legacy systems.
- Administer and manage observability platforms including New Relic, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Datadog, and BigPanda.
- Collect, correlate, and analyze metrics, logs, traces, and events.
- Automate monitoring workflows using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Integrate observability into CI/CD and DevOps workflows.
- Establish and manage SLAs, SLOs, telemetry standards, and data contracts aligned with business and system outcomes.
- Troubleshoot incidents using distributed tracing, AIOps, and performance monitoring.
- Drive OpenTelemetry adoption and vendor-neutral observability implementations.
- Implement AI and Agentic AI capabilities for intelligent alerting, predictive analytics, automated insights, and RCA.
- Design and implement GenAI solutions to improve developer experience, operational efficiency, and business automation.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities with platforms such as Dynatrace, Grafana, ServiceNow, Splunk,



and Datadog.
- Evaluate AI platforms including OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and Hugging Face.
- Drive observability governance, maturity models, compliance, and consistency across enterprise environments.

Mandatory Skills:

- New Relic Mandatory
- 10+ years of overall IT experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Observability / Monitoring / SRE.
- 2+ years of experience in AI/ML or AIOps.
- Strong hands-on experience with one or more of:

- New Relic

- Dynatrace / Dynatrace Grail

- Grafana

- Prometheus

- OpenTelemetry

- Splunk

- BigPanda

- Datadog
- Strong understanding of metrics, logs, traces, AIOps, distributed tracing, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP / Kubernetes / EKS.
- Strong scripting and automation experience with Python and Bash.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience integrating observability with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering and model fine-tuning.
- Experience with AI/Agentic AI, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, intelligent alerting, and automated RCA.
- Strong Python and API integration skills.
- Understanding of MLOps principles and cloud-based AI services.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have
- New Relic / Datadog / Kubernetes / AWS / Azure / GCP / SRE certifications.
- Agile experience including Scrum and Kanban.
- Knowledge of security, regulatory compliance, RBAC, IAM, and policies.
- Understanding of Responsible AI (RAI) practices.
- Experience building custom ML-based operational pipelines.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize observability workflows.
