Living Things is Looking for:**** Living Things (iCapotech Pvt Ltd) is a pioneering IoT platform dedicated to accelerating the net zero journey. Their flagship product, Living Bill, integrates with existing air conditioners to help businesses optimise energy usage, reduce carbon footprints, and drive sustainable practices through real-time data analytics.

We are looking for Software Development Interns (minimum 2, up to 3) for a 6-month full-time internship based in HSR, Bengaluru. Interns will be placed across two project tracks:

- Track 1 — IoT Project (Living Bill): Backend services, IoT data flows, real-time telemetry, and event-driven architectures.
- Track 2 — CRM / Utility Bill Management: Web app development, bug fixes, ad hoc client requirements, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
- Build and improve frontend components using React, Next.js, Vue.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Work with REST APIs, databases, dashboards, logs, and IoT telemetry data under senior engineer guidance.
- Support data flows involving MQTT, Kafka, or similar messaging/event-streaming systems (IoT track).
- Handle bug fixes, ad hoc feature requests, and RCAs for client-facing issues (CRM track).




- Write clean, readable, and well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
- Debug issues across services, UIs, databases, and device data by reading logs and tracing flows.
- Document implementation details, setup steps, and handover notes for features you work on.
- Collaborate with product, operations, firmware, data, and engineering teams.

Must-Have Requirements

- Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech/B.E., M.Tech, MCA, BCA, B.Sc. CS, or equivalent technical degree.
- Python is mandatory — even basic experience is required; candidates without any Python exposure will not be considered.
- Web app development experience — frontend (React/Next.js/Vue.js) and/or backend (Node.js/Express).
- Prior internship experience OR solid hands-on project work demonstrating end-to-end development; complete freshers with no builds will not be considered.
- Must be able to explain and own their own code — AI-generated code without genuine understanding is a hard disqualifier.
- Basic understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, or similar).
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and Git.

Good to Have

- IoT background or exposure to MQTT, Kafka, or event-driven architectures (preferred for Track 1).
- Full-stack profile — Python + JavaScript + React/Next.js + SQL.




- Multiple prior internships with real product-building experience.
- GitHub profile or portfolio with visible end-to-end projects.
- Exposure to Docker, CI/CD basics, cloud platforms, or monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, bug tracking, or RCA processes (preferred for Track 2).
- Hands-on experience with AI APIs, LLMs, or automation tools — with genuine understanding.

Interview Process

- 1–2 day take-home assignment
- Technical interview with Anshul Rajput focused on the assignment and code understanding
- Optional quick technical call with Tushar (co-founder) for final shortlisted candidates
