Job Summary

Incheon Kia is looking for an experienced and technically skilled Senior Technician to join our Service Workshop in Kollam.

The Senior Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Kia vehicles, handling complex technical complaints, ensuring First Time Right (FTR) repairs, and maintaining Kia's prescribed service and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic complaints in Kia vehicles.
- Identify the root cause of technical problems and perform appropriate repairs.
- Handle complex repairs related to:
- Engine and transmission
- Clutch and drivetrain
- Steering and suspension
- Braking systems
- AC/HVAC systems
- Electrical and electronic systems
- ABS and Airbag systems
- Sensors, actuators and ECU-related issues
- Use Kia diagnostic scanners, special tools and workshop equipment.
- Troubleshoot repeat complaints and difficult technical cases.
- Follow Kia service manuals and prescribed repair procedures.

1. Periodic Maintenance & Service

- Perform periodic maintenance as per Kia service schedules.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and running repairs.
- Complete all jobs specified in the Job Card.
- Complete assigned work within the prescribed labour time.
- Maintain high First Time Right standards.

1. Quality Inspection

- Inspect the vehicle after completion of repairs.
- Conduct road tests wherever required.
- Verify that the customer's complaint has been properly resolved.
- Minimize repeat repairs and vehicle comebacks.
- Ensure the vehicle is ready for delivery according to Incheon Kia quality standards.

Technical Support & Team Leadership

- Guide and support junior technicians.
- Assist technicians in diagnosing difficult technical complaints.
- Provide technical guidance on proper repair procedures.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices with workshop team members.
- Support the Workshop Manager in resolving complex technical cases.
- Attend Kia technical training and update technical knowledge regularly.

1. Job Card & Warranty Documentation

- Record diagnosis and repair details accurately on Job Cards.
- Mention parts replaced and work carried out clearly.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors and Parts Department.
- Follow Kia warranty procedures and documentation requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation for technical complaints and warranty jobs.

1. Workshop Safety & Housekeeping

- Follow all Incheon Kia and Kia safety procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE and safety equipment.
- Maintain tools and workshop equipment properly.
- Keep the work bay clean and organized.
- Follow secure procedures when handling batteries, oils, chemicals and other workshop materials.

Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Experience
- 4–6 years or more experience in four-wheeler automobile service.
- Kia dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in other authorized automobile dealerships may also be considered.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
