Job Description We're Hiring | GM – Production (Garment Manufacturing)
n Location: Surat, Gujarat.
n CTC: As per industry standards
n Experience: 8+ years in garment manufacturing.
n Responsible for driving production, quality, cost, compliance, and people leadership. This is a senior leadership role, fully accountable for delivering high-volume output with world-class quality standards while ensuring operational efficiency and discipline across the factory.
n Key Responsibilities
n 1. End-to-End Factory Leadership
n n Lead the manufacturing unit with full accountability for production, quality, efficiency, cost, and compliance.
n Own daily, weekly, and monthly production deliverables aligned with business requirements.
n Act as the single point of leadership for all factory functions.
n n 2. Production Planning & Target Achievement
n n Ensure timely execution of customer orders with zero compromise on quality and timelines.
n Drive capacity planning and scheduling for optimal resource utilization.
n Continuously monitor performance and implement corrective actions to meet/exceed targets.
n n 3. Operational Excellence
n n Oversee production, maintenance, quality, and material flow across the unit.
n Minimize downtime and maximize throughput across production lines.
n n 4. Quality, Compliance & Safety
n n Ensure strict adherence to buyer specifications, AQL standards, and internal quality norms.
n Build a zero-defect culture through solid in-line and end-line quality checks.
n n 5. Cost & Resource Management
n n Drive productivity improvement,



waste reduction, and cost control initiatives.
n Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
n Work within defined budgets while improving efficiency.
n n 6. People & Culture Leadership
n n Lead, mentor, and inspire a large multi-layered team of supervisors, managers, and operators.
n Foster a disciplined, performance-driven, and accountable work culture.
n Develop leadership pipeline by grooming high-potential talent.
n n 7. Reporting & Business Partnership
n n Prepare and present production, quality, and efficiency reports.
n Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Corporate teams to ensure timely delivery and business alignment.
n Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement at the organizational level.
n n Required Qualifications & Skills
n n Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Textile / Garment Technology) preferred. Diploma in Apparel Manufacturing may be considered for exceptional candidates.
n Experience: Minimum 8 years in apparel manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior factory leadership role.
n Proven success in managing large, high-volume garment factories.
n Strong technical knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, sewing line balancing, trims, fabric, finishing, and packaging.
n Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma and modern manufacturing excellence systems.
n Strong leadership presence with ability to manage large teams under pressure.
n Excellent problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
