Role Overview

We are looking for MEP Engineers / Senior MEP Engineers with 212 years of relevant experience in MEP execution, coordination, and project management.

The role involves MEP execution, contractor coordination, drawing review, quality control, project monitoring, utility infrastructure, testing & commissioning, and project handover for commercial building, layout, infrastructure, and external development projects.

Designation, responsibilities, and level of ownership will be aligned with the candidate's experience and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

MEP Execution & Coordination

- Supervise and monitor day-to-day MEP execution activities at the project site.
- Coordinate Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, ELV, and utility services.
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Ensure MEP works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate MEP services with Civil, Structural, Architectural, Interior, and other project teams.
- Identify design, coordination, constructability, and site execution issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor contractor manpower, materials, equipment, productivity, and work progress.

Electrical & Utility Infrastructure

- Supervise and coordinate HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, RMUs, DG sets, electrical panels, cable networks, earthing, and lighting systems.
- Monitor external infrastructure and utility works including:

- Water Supply

- Sewerage

- Storm Water Drainage

- Electrical Distribution

- Street Lighting

- Utility Networks / Corridors
- Coordinate utility services with civil and infrastructure works.
- Coordinate with relevant statutory authorities and utility agencies such as BESCOM, BWSSB, Fire Department, and other authorities as required.

Contractor & Project Coordination

- Coordinate and monitor MEP contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and specialist agencies.
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower, productivity, resources, material availability, and progress.




- Track MEP activities against approved project schedules and planned milestones.
- Participate in project progress and coordination meetings.
- Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports and MEP-related MIS.
- Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, contractors, vendors, and site execution teams.

Quality Control & Safety

- Monitor the quality of MEP installations and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Conduct inspections and ensure timely closure of inspection observations and NCRs.
- Review materials and ensure installation is carried out as per approved specifications and standards.
- Monitor compliance with project safety and HSE requirements.
- Identify construction and installation issues and coordinate corrective actions.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

- Coordinate testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Review testing and commissioning procedures and reports.
- Monitor snagging, punch-list closure, and final inspections.
- Coordinate preparation of as-built drawings, O&M; manuals, test reports, warranties, and handover documentation.
- Support successful project handover and project close-out.

QS & Commercial Coordination

- Verify contractor measurements and assist in certification of contractor bills.
- Review BOQ quantities and quantity reconciliation.
- Monitor variations, additional works, and scope changes.
- Review contractor claims and provide technical inputs wherever required.
- Support evaluation of technical and commercial implications of MEP changes.

Experience-wise Expectations

MEP Engineer 25 Years

- Hands-on experience in MEP site execution and coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Exposure to contractor coordination, site inspections, measurements, and project documentation.
- Basic understanding of Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, ELV, and utility services.
- Exposure to commercial buildings, infrastructure, layout developments, or external development works will be preferred.
- Ability to coordinate with site teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Good understanding of site execution and construction practices.

Senior MEP Engineer 612 Years

- Ability to independently manage assigned MEP packages and contractors.
- Strong experience in MEP execution, coordination, quality control, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience in commercial buildings, infrastructure, layout developments, and external development works.
- Strong exposure to HT/LT systems,



utility infrastructure, and external services.
- Experience in contractor billing, BOQ reconciliation, variations, and commercial coordination.
- Experience in manpower/resource planning and productivity monitoring.
- Ability to coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, vendors, and statutory authorities.
- Strong understanding of project schedules, progress monitoring, and project handover.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve technical and execution-related issues.

Eligibility Criteria

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering – Preferred.
- 2–12 years of relevant MEP execution and coordination experience.
- Experience in commercial buildings, layout developments, infrastructure, or large-scale projects.
- Experience in utility infrastructure and external development works will be preferred.
- Experience in PMC, Developer, EPC, or Contractor organizations will be an advantage.
- Solid understanding of MEP systems, construction methodology, drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Good understanding of testing, commissioning, snagging, and project handover.
- Candidates with relevant BIM/MEP coordination exposure will be preferred.

- Strong hands-on experience in MEP execution and project coordination.

- Good understanding of Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, ELV, and external utilities.
- Experience in contractor and subcontractor management.
- Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with multiple contractors, consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Willingness to work at project sites in Bangalore.

Reporting Structure Reports To: Project Manager / Project Head

Coordinates With: Site Execution Team, Contractors, Consultants, Vendors, Planning Team, and Client Representatives.

Selection Criteria

Candidates with relevant hands-on experience in MEP execution and coordination for commercial buildings, infrastructure, layout developments, and external development projects will be preferred.

For senior positions, candidates should have proven experience in independent MEP package management, contractor coordination, utility infrastructure, testing & commissioning, commercial coordination, and project handover.
