Specifically looking for Business Analysts with strong, recent laboratory domain experience.

- Strong LIS/LIMS and laboratory workflow experience Candidates should understand actual lab operations/workflows and have recent experience working with laboratory systems, not just list LIS as a keyword.
- Senior Business Analysis experience 5+ years of BA experience with strong requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, gap analysis, process/workflow mapping, and stakeholder facilitation.
- Healthcare integration knowledge Strong understanding of LIS and HL7 is important. Experience with lab analyzers/device interfaces, EMR/EHR integrations, or related clinical systems is highly valuable.
- Jira, Confluence and process mapping Candidates should have experience managing/refining backlogs, maintaining BA documentation, and creating process/workflow diagrams. Lucidchart is preferred, although comparable tools such as Visio or Draw.io are relevant.
- Strong stakeholder and technical collaboration Must be able to work directly with lab users, business stakeholders, developers, QA, data engineers, and architects and translate clinical/lab requirements into actionable technical requirements.

What I Want To See On a Lab-specific Resume Look for recent experience with LIS/LIMS, laboratory workflows, specimen/order/result workflows, lab analyzers or diagnostic device interfaces, blood bank or pathology systems, HL7 lab integrations, and direct interaction with laboratory users or technicians. Imaging experience such as PACS, RIS and DICOM is helpful, but for these two openings the priority is LAB experience.

Additional JD requirements include AWS/cloud familiarity, data governance/privacy/security, UAT, workshops/demos, backlog management, and the ability to work independently during European business hours.

Position Summary

Client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in laboratory and imaging workflows. This person will bridge business needs and technology solutions and support cross-functional teams using Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with laboratory, imaging, and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

Translate complex clinical and operational workflows into user stories and acceptance criteria.

Create detailed process maps, workflows, and visual models using Lucidchart or similar tools.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within laboratory operations.

Manage and refine Jira backlogs based on business priorities and technical feasibility.

Maintain documentation in Confluence, including business cases, process maps, requirements, and decision logs.

Facilitate workshops, demos, and feedback sessions with business and technical stakeholders.

Serve as the liaison between business teams, development, QA, data engineers, and architects.

Support integration of laboratory and clinical systems within an AWS/cloud workplace.

Ensure appropriate data governance, privacy, and security standards are followed.

Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Business, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or related field.

5+ years of Business Analyst experience.

At least 2 years of labs/imaging or healthcare IT experience.

Strong experience with LIS/LIMS and laboratory workflows.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart or comparable process-mapping tools.

Familiarity with AWS/cloud environments.

Strong understanding of HL7 and healthcare system integrations.

PACS, RIS, and DICOM experience is a plus.

Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
