Role & responsibilities

- Prepare and execute daily, weekly and monthly SMT production plans based on customer orders, priorities and delivery schedules.

- Analyze sales orders, work orders, BOM, material availability, WIP and production capacity to ensure effective production planning.

- Plan and optimize SMT line loading, machine capacity, manpower allocation, product mix and changeovers.

- Ensure readiness of PCB, components, BOM, SMT programs, feeders, stencils, tooling and required production documents before production.

- Monitor plan vs. actual production, work-order status and schedule adherence and take corrective actions for deviations.

- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance and Industrial Engineering teams to resolve production-related issues.

- Monitor material shortages, WIP, inventory and component availability to ensure uninterrupted production.

- Identify capacity constraints, bottlenecks and delivery risks and implement appropriate corrective and contingency plans.

- Optimize production schedules to improve machine utilization, line efficiency, productivity and on-time delivery (OTD).

- Maintain and update ERP/MRP planning data, production schedules, work orders and PPC reports.

- Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly PPC performance reports to management.

- Monitor key performance indicators such as plan adherence, capacity utilization, WIP, inventory, productivity, changeover time and OTD.

- Coordinate with NPI/Engineering teams for current product introduction, trial runs and production readiness.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for capacity optimization, changeover reduction, productivity improvement, inventory control, cost reduction and 6S.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E.



/ B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics & Communication (EC/ECE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE) or related engineering discipline.

- 1012 years of relevant experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) within SMT, PCBA, EMS or electronics manufacturing.

- Strong hands-on experience in SMT production planning, scheduling, line loading and capacity planning.

- Good understanding of SMT machines, PCBA manufacturing processes, product mix and changeover planning.

- Experience in planning based on customer orders, BOM, material availability, WIP, machine capacity and delivery schedules.

- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools;

experience with SAP or similar ERP systems will be an advantage.

- Experience in monitoring plan vs. actual production, production backlog, WIP, inventory and schedule adherence.

- Strong coordination skills with Production, Stores, Purchase, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and NPI teams.

- Ability to identify production bottlenecks, capacity constraints, material shortages and delivery risks and take timely corrective actions.

- Good understanding of line balancing, capacity utilization, manpower planning and changeover optimization.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good knowledge of Excel and production planning reports.

- Experience in monitoring KPIs such as OTD, plan adherence, productivity, capacity utilization, WIP and inventory.

- Good communication, coordination and leadership skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

- Candidates with experience in EMS, PCBA, automotive electronics, consumer electronics or industrial electronics manufacturing will be preferred.

- Willingness to work at Chamarajanagar, Karnataka.
