About Sidhakala

Sidhakala Group of Industries, established in 1997, is engaged in the manufacturing of sheet-metal press components, press tools and welded assemblies . The group operates manufacturing facilities at Bhosari and Chakan, Pune, with an in-house Tool Room and Design & Development capability.

Education & Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sheet-metal press tool/die design .
- Experience in an automotive or auto-component manufacturing environment will be preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in press tool design, development and modification .
- Proficiency in Cimatron, CATIA and/or AutoCAD .
- Hands-on experience in sheet-metal blank development, strip/layout development and forming feasibility .
- Good understanding of press tool manufacturing processes and Tool Room operations .
- Working knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances and manufacturing drawings .

Key Responsibilities

- Design sheet-metal press tools/dies for new product development.
- Develop concept designs, tool layouts, strip layouts, blank development and alternate design concepts .
- Prepare required design calculations and manufacturing feasibility studies .
- Create accurate 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D annotations .
- Design welding fixtures, checking/relation gauges and other manufacturing aids , where required.
- Prepare and release Bill of Materials (BOM) , drawings and design documentation to the Tool Room for manufacturing.
- Review customer 3D models, 2D drawings, specifications and technical requirements before starting tool design.
- Ensure proper application of GD&T;, dimensional tolerances and design standards .
- Coordinate closely with the Tool Room, Production,



Quality and Recent Product Development teams during tool manufacturing and development.
- Support tool trials, sample development and tool proving .
- Analyse trial results and implement required design corrections, countermeasures and modifications .
- Support achievement of required part dimensions, quality parameters and process capability .
- Review designs and drawings within assigned projects before release for manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain tool design standards, best practices and design documentation .
- Participate in DFMEA, feasibility reviews and design risk assessment as applicable.
- Ensure adherence to customer requirements, internal quality systems and project timelines.
