Role Description

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the molecular diagnostics laboratory
Supervise and train laboratory technicians and technical staff
Ensure accurate processing and analysis of clinical samples
Monitor and manage workflows including:
DNA/RNA isolation from clinical samples
PCR and Real-Time PCR
Gel Electrophoresis
DNA Sequencing
Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows
Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety and sanitization protocols
Maintain and review QC/QA documentation and compliance records
Monitoring inventory levels in accordance with established policies and procedures
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
Maintain confidentiality of patient and laboratory data

Experience Required




Minimum 2+ years of experience in a molecular diagnostic laboratory
Solid experience in handling infectious clinical samples
Mandatory hands-on experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS):
Prior leadership or team management experience preferred

Qualifications
B.Tech / M.Tech - Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering
B.Sc / M.Sc - Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering
B.Sc / M.Sc - Molecular Biology
Additional certifications in laboratory management or quality systems are an advantage
