Duration: 2 Years (2026-2028).

Essential Qualifications: PhD in any branch of Life Sciences or Biotechnology with at least two peer-reviewed international publication in Science Citation indexed (SCl) journal.

Desirable qualifications: We seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated candidate with demonstrated research experience in most (if not all) of the following areas:

- Genetic and metabolic engineering of Saccharomyces cerevisiae or other yeast species.
- CRISPR/Cas-based genome engineering and advanced molecular cloning techniques.
- Synthetic biology approaches for heterologous expression and reconstruction of biosynthetic pathways in yeast.
- Promoter engineering, pathway optimization,



and strain development for enhanced metabolite production.
- Bioinformatics tools for sequence analysis, codon optimization, pathway design, and metabolic flux analysis.
- Analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, LC–MS/MS, or GC–MS for metabolite profiling and quantification.
- Robust publication record in relevant research area, excellent scientific writing and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as mentor junior researchers.

Emoluments: Rs. 58000/- per month plus HRA (As per DST OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26.06.2023)

Age Limit: 40 years (Relaxation is admissible in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates as per GOI instructions).
