Job Summary:

Responsible for leading the complete R&D; and Product Development function for Air Conditioner manufacturing, driving innovation, current product development, product performance, energy efficiency, testing, validation, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the R&D; and Product Development team for AC manufacturing

- Drive New Product Development (NPD) from concept to mass production

- Develop product roadmaps based on market trends and customer requirements

- Oversee product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and certification

- Lead development and improvement of split AC, inverter AC, window AC, and commercial AC products

- Drive improvements in cooling performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and product quality

- Conduct technology and competitor benchmarking

- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Service teams

- Drive value engineering, cost reduction, localization, and design optimization

- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, energy-efficiency, and regulatory standards

- Manage engineering changes, BOMs, technical documentation, and product lifecycle

- Lead, mentor, and develop R&D; engineers and technical teams

Skills Required:

- Strong expertise in AC/HVAC product development and R&D;





- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles and thermodynamics

- Knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, heat exchangers, expansion devices, and refrigerants

- Strong experience in product design, testing, validation, and performance optimization

- Knowledge of DFM/DFA, value engineering, cost reduction, and manufacturing processes

- Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills

Qualification & Experience:

- BE/B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / HVAC Engineering

- 12–20+ years of experience in AC/HVAC R&D; and Product Development

- Minimum 5 years in a senior R&D; leadership position

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in split AC, inverter AC, window AC, VRF/VRV, or commercial HVAC systems

- Experience with major HVAC/AC manufacturers such as LG, Daikin, Voltas, Blue Star, Carrier, Hitachi, Panasonic, Samsung, Haier, or similar organizations

- Strong exposure to energy-efficiency standards, product certification, reliability testing, and technology development

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹215,000.00 per month
